Series: Choke Points

An investigation of the rapidly expanding web of Israeli military checkpoints that fracture Palestinian life in the occupied West Bank. Using 2.6 billion GPS pings of drivers, tens of thousands of Telegram messages, a West Bank-wide poll, and deep ground reporting, we measure how checkpoints have torn families apart, stifled the economy, and impeded access to essential services such as hospitals and schools.
