The Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) will host a screening of Naila and the Uprising, followed by a discussion with Suhad Babaa, Just Vision's Executive Director and other panelists, moderated by Erica Chenoweth, Professor of Public Policy at HKS. This event is co-sponsored by the Project on Negotiation and the Islamic Legal Studies Program Harvard Law School, Religion, Conflict and Peace at Harvard Divinity School and the Council on the Concerns of Women. Join us for a screening of Naila and the Uprising at the United Nations Headquarters, in celebration of International Women's Day. The film will be followed by a panel discussion with Just Vision's Creative Director and filmmaker Julia Bacha, Just Vision's Education and Outreach Director and the film's producer, Rula Salameh and protagonist, Zahira Kamal. This event is hosted by the Committee for the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP).

The Council on Foreign Relations will host a private roundtable discussion, on “The Underestimated Power of Grassroots Movements: The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and Beyond." The meeting will feature a conversation with Suhad Babaa, Executive Director of Just Vision, and Maria J. Stephan, Director of the Program on Nonviolent Action at the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP), moderated by Jamille Bigio, Senior Fellow for Women and Foreign Policy at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Join Seattle Womxn Moving Forward for a screening of Just Vision’s award-winning documentary film Naila and the Uprising and moderated post-film discussion. Following the screening, the film’s co-producer Jen Marlowe will moderate a discussion with women activists in Seattle, reflecting on how the themes in the film resonate with women at home who have been in the fight for liberation, dignity and equity across movement struggles. This screening is free and open to the public.
