Palestinian political and media figure. Khatib was a member of the Palestinian delegation to the
Madrid Conference in 1991 and subsequent bilateral negotiations between
Israel and the
Palestine Liberation Organization. He has always been a supporter of media advocacy and Palestinian-
Israeli dialogue, leading the
Jerusalem. Media and Communications Centre in 2000, and soon after founding the online Bittlerlemons publications with Jewish Israeli Yossi Alpher. After serving in ministerial positions within the
Palestinian Authority from 2002-2006, Khatib taught at Birzeit University. As of 2015, he is a spokesman for the Palestinian Authority, of the Palestinian Government Media Center and a member of the Palestinian People's Party. See "
