Our Journalism
Uncompromising journalism is a powerful lever for change. Rigorous, accurate, and courageous truth-telling can counter false narratives, disrupt media biases, debunk misinformation, demand accountability, offer nuance, and provide a more holistic picture of what is unfolding in real-time.
Just Vision co-founded the Hebrew-language news outlet, Local Call, in 2014, and founded the investigative and enterprise journalism incubator, Palestine Reporting Lab, in 2024.

PALESTINE REPORTING LAB
Palestine is one of the most intensely covered places in the world, and stories about Palestine and Palestinian communities are everywhere. Yet amid this wave of global attention, Palestinian reporters are rarely provided the opportunities to lead that coverage. Even as Palestinian journalists work under conditions of unthinkable risk, they are routinely sidelined, censored, and denied the support to report stories that they are best positioned to tell. Those reporters who do achieve bylines in major media often work under an unrelenting news cycle that leaves little time for deep, nuanced journalism. The result? Audiences around the world—including Palestinians themselves—are often left without reporting that uncovers hidden harm, focuses on accountability, and serves the communities most affected by abuses of power.
We’ve built a newsroom without walls—one where ambitious, ground-up journalism about Palestine and Palestinian communities can thrive—and have developed critical infrastructure designed to flank journalists and ensure the vital stories they’ve set out to tell have the power and backing to make an impact.

Local Call
Local Call (Sikha Mekomit in Hebrew) is a Hebrew-language news site co-founded and co-published by Just Vision and 972 Advancement of Citizen Journalism.
It emerged in April 2014 as a solution to a problem. There was a significant gap in Israeli media coverage of the daily realities of the occupation and apartheid and the daily experiences of marginalized communities across the region. Moreover, there was no outlet in Israel that was trusted by activists to accurately tell their stories and committed to consistently covering the impact of Israeli government policies on Palestinian communities and those most deeply impacted by inequities.
Local Call was founded in response, with the aim of producing hard-hitting reporting and nuanced analysis.

Shaping Conversations with Mainstream Media
In addition to producing our own original media, Just Vision works with major media outlets to correct false or misleading narratives, amplify voices of conscience, and provide context through reporting partnerships, analysis, op-eds, and letters to the editor.
