Netroots Nation Featured Panel: The New McCarthyism – Tactics of Repression and How We Resist

From mass protests to legal proceedings at the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice, the call for a just and rights-respecting future in Israel-Palestine has grown louder than ever. As the Israeli government—backed, funded, and armed by the United States—continues its campaign of genocide in Gaza while deepening displacement and military repression across the West Bank, U.S. institutions have waged a parallel crackdown on those speaking out for Palestinian rights. Refusing to be silenced, this panel will highlight the ways in which those speaking out for Palestinian rights are fighting back together, speaking out against fear-based compliance, and building momentum for a growing movement.

Panelists include Vince Warren (Director of the Center for Constitutional Rights), Dylan Saba (Staff Attorney at Palestine Legal), alicia sanchez gill (Executive Director of the Emergent Fund), Rabbi Alissa Wise (Founding Director of Rabbis for Ceasefire), and Suhad Babaa (Executive Director and President of Just Vision) who will moderate the conversation.
