Deirdre Hegarty is a funder focusing on peace and security issues. She serves on the board of Just Vision and is a member of the Women Donors Network, the Peace and Security Funders Group and an alumna of the Philanthropy Workshop. She received an M.A. from Stanford University in International Policy Studies, with a concentration on international security and cooperation issues. Deirdre was a Fellow at the Stanford Center on International Conflict and Negotiation from 2012-2014, where she conducted research on the role of nonviolence in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
