Basseem is the Program and Outreach Manager at Just Vision, an organization that fills a media gap on Israel-Palestine through independent storytelling and strategic audience engagement. In this role, Basseem engages U.S. audiences and designs impactful programs that advance Just Vision’s mission.
Prior to joining Just Vision, Basseem held positions at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the UN, the Center for Family Representation, the Arab American Institute (AAI), the Brookings Institution and Search for Common Ground Lebanon (SFCG).
He holds an MA in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and a BA in International Studies from the University of Oregon. He lives in Brooklyn but ensures he visits his family in Byblos, Lebanon, every year.
