Israel-Palestine in 2025: A Conversation with Organizers & Analysts About the Next U.S. Administration

1:00 PM EDT |
Virtual

As the U.S. prepares for a presidential transition in 2025, many are wondering how evolving political dynamics in Washington could shape global movements defending human rights and freedom of expression—including the Palestinian rights movement.
With President-elect Trump set to take office for a second time, this briefing will gather organizers, political analysts and legal experts to examine the trajectory of the movement for Palestinian rights, including efforts to stop the genocide in Gaza and escalating violence in the region.
Join us on Thursday, November 21 at 1:00 pm ET / 8:00 pm Jerusalem time for a conversation on evolving strategies, challenges and priorities in the context of potential policy shifts under a Trump administration. The conversation will touch on U.S. foreign policy as well as domestic policies and dynamics impacting advocates of Palestinian rights.
The briefing will feature the following speakers:
Fadi Quran, Senior Director at Avaaz, policy fellow at Al-Shabaka and West Bank based Palestinian community organizer.
Matt Duss, executive vice president at the Center for International Policy, which works to advance a more peaceful, just and sustainable U.S. approach to foreign policy.
Iman Abid-Thompson, the director of organizing and advocacy at the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR), an organization that provides resources and strategic support to the U.S.-based Palestine solidarity movement.
Beth Miller, political director at Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) Action, a multiracial, intergenerational movement of Jews and allies working towards justice and equality for Palestinians and Israelis by transforming U.S. policy.
Diala Shamas, senior staff attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) where she works on challenging government and law enforcement abuses perpetrated under the guise of national security, both in the U.S. and abroad.
Suhad Babaa (Moderator), President and Executive Director, Just Vision
We will be taking your questions during the virtual briefing.

This event is sponsored by Just Vision, the Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU), Jewish Currents, the Center for International Policy and the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR).
Kindly note that this briefing will be on-the-record and conducted virtually. A Zoom link will be provided upon registration.
