On April 3, Georgetown University will host a conversation on culture and journalism featuring Fadi Abushammala—Journalist from Gaza, Outreach Associate at Just Vision, Visiting Scholar at Georgetown, and Executive Director of the General Union of Cultural Centers, the only cultural union in Palestine. The discussion will be moderated by Jen Marlowe, Just Vision Consulting Producer, documentary filmmaker, writer, and founder of Donkeysaddle Projects.

Palestina Livre Caldas in Portugal is hosting a screening of Naila and the Uprising on Saturday, April 19. Held during the week of the Carnation Revolution’s 50th anniversary, the event will include a post-screening discussion with a woman active in Portugal’s grassroots movement, drawing connections between anti-colonial struggles in Portugal and Palestine.
