Just Vision's Director of Public Engagement, Emma Alpert, will speak on a panel at the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) annual conference: "Strengthening Women's Leadership in Middle Eastern Public Administration and Civil Society." The presentation will focus on the impact of Just Vision's latest documentary Naila and the Uprising which has reached thousands of educators, students, journalists, public administrators and civil society leaders through its public engagement campaign in the US, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Naila and the Uprising will screen at the 2019 Revolutionary Struggles Film Festival. Following the film screening Naila’s son, Majd -- who in 1988 was an infant and kept in prison with his mother – will be joining for a discussion with the audience.This festival is organized as part of a course on Revolution in the Transnational Context being taught in Equity Studies at New College, University of Toronto. All film screenings are free and open to the public.
