Naila and the Uprising

Just Vision's latest documentary, Naila and the Uprising, is one of four films featured in the upcoming series, Women, War & Peace II, set to air Monday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 26, 9-11 p.m. on PBS (check local listings).

To commemorate International Women's Day, the Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA) will host a screening of Naila and the Uprising at Berkeley City College. The film will be followed by a panel of local Palestinian activists. For more information and to get tickets, visit the event page.

Naila and the Uprising will screen at the Young Women's Leadership Academy as part of a day-long event around the upcoming documentary series, Women, War & Peace set to air on PBS March 25 and 26. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the series' Executive Producer, Abigail E. Disney. This event is private.

Naila and the Uprising will screen at the 2019 Revolutionary Struggles Film Festival. Following the film screening Naila’s son, Majd -- who in 1988 was an infant and kept in prison with his mother – will be joining for a discussion with the audience.This festival is organized as part of a course on Revolution in the Transnational Context being taught in Equity Studies at New College, University of Toronto. All film screenings are free and open to the public.

Naila and the Uprising will have its debut screening in Quebec on Monday, March 25 with Cinema Politica. The film will be followed by a post-screening discussion and audience Q&A. This screening is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the Cinema Politca website.
