Just Vision will take part in a special program for International Women's Day at the US Institute of Peace to celebrate stories of women's leadership through film. The event will bring together filmmakers, policy advocates and NGO leaders to discuss how film has been an innovative tool for translating policy frameworks into social change and catalyzing movements into action.

Just Vision's Creative Director, Julia Bacha, will speak alongside other filmmakers on the panel: "Not Your Grandmother's Historical Doc." Historical documentaries, long seen as fodder for classroom instruction and serious cinefiles, are having a moment. Recent films have landed at just the right time, providing historical context - and motivation - for solving today’s most pressing social issues.
