Join Just Vision, Donkeysaddle Projects, and DCI-Palestine for a screening of To Treat Kids Like Me. The film follows the family of Mohamed Saleh and several other children in the Gaza Strip as they navigate the often Kafkaesque process of getting permission from the Israeli army to leave the besieged strip for medical treatments that are unavailable there. 

The screening will be followed by a discussion with filmmaker Jen Marlowe and special guests Ghada Majadli, Mohamed Lafi, Fadi Abu Shammalah, and Miranda Cleland.

Boycott follows a speech therapist in Texas, a lawyer in Arizona, and a news publisher in Arkansas, who, when told they must choose between their jobs and their political beliefs, launch legal battles that expose an attack on freedom of speech across dozens of states in America.

The workshop will draw on clips from the film to explore how media, storytelling and academia work in tandem to achieve specific  goals and successfully amplify women's leadership in movement-building. 

Just Vision's Deputy Director, Emma Alpert, will lead a storytelling workshop as part of Achvat Amim's in-depth educational and service program for young adults living in Israel. This is a private event.
