Join Suhad Babaa, Executive Director of Just Vision, at the University of Denver's Inclusive Global Leadership Initiative (IGLI) Summer Institute for a keynote on the power of strategic storytelling in furthering grassroots movements and shifting perspectives on social justice issues around the globe.

Naila and the Uprising will screen at Columbia University, followed by a Q&A and discussion with Just Vision's Creative Director and Director of the film, Julia Bacha, in conversation with Professor Rashid Khalidi. The event is co-sponsored by the Center for Palestine Studies (CPS) and the Institute for Research on Women, Gender and Sexuality (IRWGS). The screening is free and open to the public.

Naila and the Uprising will screen as part of the Peace Works Middle Eastern Film Festival, hosted by the Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace & Justice and the Olympia Film Society, at the Capitol Theater in downtown Olympia, WA. This is the 13th iteration of the annual Peace Works program, which aims to address issues of injustice including war, racism, sexism, economic inequality, environmental degradation and oppression of individuals, groups and peoples.
