Amir is editor-in-chief of Local Call. Amir has over two decades of experience in print media, editing and writing at an array of newspapers and magazines including Davar and Maariv. He has also founded several independent publications, including Masmerim, a literary quarterly for prose and photography. Amir has also edited books for major publishing houses, both fiction and non-fiction.
In the eight years leading up to taking the helm at Local Call, Amir was the director of the public department at human rights organization "Gisha", which focuses on the right to freedom of movement, especially for Palestinian residents of the Gaza Strip.
